  • Condition: The slab is approximately 14" long by 5.5" wide at the widest point. The slab is packed with multiple fossils as shown. There are several brachiopod fossils scattered throughout, most of which has varying degrees of pyritization as shown. There is a cluster of at least three trilobites as shown, and possibly some other trilobite fragments scattered throughout. There are also many coral fossils as shown. Almost all of the fossils are on one side of the slab, the bottom is mostly plain rock. Please see photos for details.

    The slab is approximately 14" long by 5.5" wide at the widest point.  The slab is packed with multiple fossils as shown.  There are several brachiopod fossils scattered throughout, most of which has varying degrees of  pyritization as shown.  There is a cluster of at least three trilobites as shown, and possibly some other trilobite fragments scattered throughout.  There are also many coral fossils as shown. Almost all of the fossils are on one side of the slab, the bottom is mostly plain rock.  Please see photos for details.
    This piece comes from the estate of a local Michigan fossil collector, who mined most of his collection himself.  Most were gathered in the Michigan and Illinois area, a few were gathered elsewhere.  I do not know where this particular piece was collected.
