PAIR OF EARLY CHINESE STAGE/THEATRICAL PUPPET FIGURES - DOLLS, HAND WORK

Description

While these matched figures do not have points of attachment for strings, they do seem identical to Chinese theatrical puppets, and early 20th C.  The clothing is hand made and embroidered.  The lovely faces are painted carefully and remain in fine condition.  The only recognizable flaw is on the feet of the woman figure where the feet were once separated near the ankle and glued back in place, leaving slightly noticeable cracks and a little missing molded material.  The male measures about 10" H thanks to his headpiece, the woman about an inch shorter.  Their hands of of some composition material and in fine condition, as are the heads.  Check out my OTHER ITEMS/SELLER STORE.
