When my dad passed, he left me some really cool vintage horns. For sale is a silver plated Bundy coronet.
Based on web research, this is a student model, but don’t let that fool you.
In full disclosure, I have only been playing for about 4 1/2 months now, but I am on the fast track to becoming a vintage trumpet expert.
What’s the point? I have plenty of professional vintage horns (Marin, Olds, Strad, etc) to compare this Bundy to, and it can hold its own!
Everything checks out phenomenally on this instrument. The valves and slides move freely, and the valves make the “popping” sound when slides are extended.
And the tone…..? Rich and velvety, if that’s a word lol. This is not the worn instrument “velvet” sound, this is a true, rich and smooth tone that vintage enthusiasts search for.
I left the patina on this horn, as some players and collectors prefer it. Note that it could be polished off to a bright silver shine if desired.
For a few hundred bucks, you cannot go wrong with this axe. Does not come with a mouthpiece or case.
