    Description

Excellent refurbished alto with excellent tone and response. (It plays like my professional level vintage instruments.) I'm guessing that this is a late 1930s/early 40s instrument by Buescher, but my research is inconclusive. (Not the later version that featured the elk head engraving.) The Elkhart has been described online as an intermediate line made by Buescher. I'm guessing dates by the opposed bell keys, but more modern bow and unique octave key features. (See pictures) I've had the horn for a while and it can really sing! Very fast, workable action for a vintage horn. The pads are fairly new and in good condition. Corks and felts are also newer especially the neck cork. I had my tech put it in great condition. Plays in tune from bottom, (which speaks easily), to the top. No dents, not even small ones. This horn was very well treated its whole life. Modern rigid Protec case. (Stand, mouthpiece and neck strap - not included.) Serial #303-XX (If my ID isn't accurate please correct me!)
