Vintage "Late Model" 1948 CG Conn 22B Trumpet Ser#379173 Plays and Needs Repair
Additional Info:
This trumpet is being sold as is in non playing condition as it needs repairs in order to be back in true good playing condition.  It will play currently however the repairs that are needed mean that for actual performing/playing it will not work as it is currently.  It has a big Conn sound to it particularly in the lower register it is nice and rich. Once the proper repairs have been made this should be a fantastic pro line trumpet!

laying condition.  It does play but because of the repairs needed we are considering it being sold in non playing condition.
The Finish:
It has approximately 45-50% of the lacquered finish
Player Wear:
Medium general wear (visible surface scratches and wear and/or small-medium dents and dings)
Valve Condition:
All the valves are in good working condition and all of the tuning slides are loose
Valve Info:
The second valve finger button is missing its pearl (not included).  The second valve tuning slide needs its sleeves to be re-soldered to the tubing going into the second valve.  Right now the whole tuning slide will pop off and the slide sleeves will come off but they need to be re-attached so that just the tuning slide comes off.
Lead Pipe Condition:
Medium general wear (visible surface scratches and wear and/or small-medium dents and dings) It has not broken but it has been twisted at the first valve (see pics).
Back Bell Bow Condition:
Has a light dent in the back bell bow with a small ding (See Pics)

Bell Dent Removal/Repair:

Re-soldered:
Several (See Pics) The braces on the throat of the bell from the main tuning slide and the second valve need to be re-soldered (see pics).  The brace from the first valve to the lead pipe will need to be re-soldered when the lead pipe is adjusted (see pics).  The second valve tuning slide sleeves need to be re-soldered onto the instrument so that just the slide pulls out (see pics).  The underside of the brace from the lead pipe to the bell on the lead pipe side needs to be re-soldered as the twist in the lead pipe has started to pull it away from the brace (see pics).

The Case:
Older Used Condition (Still usable but significant signs of physical wear) replacement case with a broken latch.

Incomplete Return:
The item will be inspected upon return and if any original parts or pieces are missing you will be contacted to send the missing items back.  If you are unable to return the missing item/part, you forfeit the refund.  All partial items that have been returned will also be forfeited and will be the property of Musical Instrument City.

Damage during Outbound Shipping:
In the unfortunate chance your item is damaged, the following procedure must be followed exactly in order to process a refund. Failure to comply with the following procedures constitutes a violation of the return policy and therefore a refund will not be given. Please contact us immediately. Save everything, including the box, packing materials, and shipping label. Without the original box and packing materials, a claim cannot be made, and a refund will not be issued. Take a full set of pictures so the damage can be assessed. Don’t send anything back yet until we contact our insurance company.  We will tell you when you may ship the item back.  Please see instructions for return shipping below. If it is determined that the item was damaged in shipping, we will send you a return shipping label via eBay Messages.  Refunds will not be issued for merchandise, which has been damaged while in your possession.

Damage during Return Shipping:
The item will be inspected upon return and if the item is damaged during return shipping, we will contact you so you can file an insurance claim.  Because you are the shipper, we cannot initiate a claim.  Depending upon how much damage was sustained you may only get a partial refund or no refund due to the damage.
Instructions for Return Shipping:

Be sure all original parts of the item purchased are included before you return it.

In order to receive a refund our policy requires you to put insurance on the item for its return shipping.

Please use the original packing material and box.  Please use original packing material inside the case around the item.  Also use the original packing material around the case in the box to protect the item from shipping damage. If your item does not have a case, please use all packing material that the item came with to protect the item from shipping damage.

Uninsured packages or items shipped “COD” or “Shipping Due” will be refused and a refund will not be issued.
•
Once the item is received, we will conduct a physical inspection. This inspection will determine your eligibility for a refund.
